VK5 Microwave Activity Day Sunday 14th October - VK5ZD - 27-09-2018

The Elizabeth Amateur Radio Club is organising a Microwave Activity Day for Sunday, 14th October. Aside from testing equipment in preparation for the upcoming Spring VHF-UHF Field Day, it will also provide an opportunity for anyone interested in the microwave bands to come and see what it’s all about. We hope to have operators working from three sites; one north, one south and one east of the Adelaide CBD. The exact locations will be advised closer to the date. The equipment in use on the day will cover all amateur bands from 1296MHz to 76GHz.

A fairly successful event, although activities were cut short around lunch time when a thunderstorm came though.
Stations operating were VK5KK, VK5TE, VK5KBJ, VK5APN, VK5OQ, VK5ZT, VK5AIM, VK5KAF and VK5ZD.
There were also quite a number of visitors that turned up to have a look.
