Trial: only initial posts available to Guests - VK4ADC - 07-09-2018
There is trial software in place that allows only the initial post in each thread to be available to Guests i.e. visitors not registered and logged in.
The software is largely untried and untested but it should force any actual Forum members to log in to read the remainder of the posts in the thread - rather than just visiting as Guests (which quite a lot seem to be doing). It should also encourage periodic Guests to actually become a registered user/member via the normal registration process.

This software has been deactivated - for now. Guests can see all threads and posts, ditto registered members who can also post and PM etc..
I will have a look at the code at some future time to see if the reason for its failure to filter correctly can be remedied.
