Why oh why? - VK3RX - 07-04-2024

OK I'll bite - why do Steve 3ZAZ's posts keep getting either edited or deleted?

Perhaps this one will too - read it quick, folks.

Another group I was a member of some years back the moderator looked at all posts before they appeared, and if he didn't like or agree with what someone said, the posts would never appear.

I resigned from that group, which I think later gradually died due lack of use ....

Well the state of play is that because of the content in his previous posts, anything Steve posts automatically arrive in the moderation queue. They stay there until approved, rejected or edited by a moderator.  Steve's post a few days back was edited, rather than deleted.  Will I allow his most recent posts to go public 'as is' ? Not yet sure.

I must add that only Steve is in the moderation list at present, under either VK3OT or VK3ZAZ. Of course I could simply just delete both of those calls from the user list and he would not be able to post at all, and you wouldn't know about it. Simple silence.

I read EVERY post on this forum as I am regarded as being legally responsible for it, and if I don't like what I see then have to take the best action I can to protect myself - whether it is Steve or someone else.  If you, or others don't like that, then fine, I can remove you from the users list and prevent further posts.  Just let me know.

If I get enough complaints coming in then I will simply turn off the forum completely. Forever.

Ultimately it is up to me whether the forum continues but if there is too much "flack" then the decision will come easily.

PS : Well the decision about Steve's posts just got easier due to a very recent post - where he went well beyond 'impolite'.  Did that post get approved. NO.
And as a result, his two calls will be removed from the users list as soon as I finish this update to my previous post. And all of his posts 'pruned' off the forum system. Gone.
