Australian Ham Radio Discussion Forum ( AHRDF )

Today my Icom IC-705 arrived on my doorstep. I decided to get the camera out as quick as possible as I wanted to take the radio out, but not before unboxing to see what you get.

In Australia we have been privileged to be one of the first to receive the IC-705. In this video I give my first thoughts and unbox the radio. Please let me know in the comments what you think and if you will be purchasing the newest radio from Icom!

No wonder that brought a smile to your dial  

A great looking unit, so nice in fact I'd be reluctant to use one "in the field" for fear of getting it dirty and scratched.

I have a Codan 2110 for that, but then they cost about 3 times the price.

I look forward to videos seeing it in use
