Hello,
if you hear any digital signals on SIX from around 50.180 to 50.200 over the next two to three weeks, please give them a wide berth as this will me EME activity with stations trying to contact 3B9GJ on Rogrigues Island, Mauritius

The mode in use will be most commonly the Q65A-60 mode found in the WSJT-X software. more information can be found here: http://www.bigskyspaces.com/w7gj/Rodrigues%202023.htm

On this trip Lance (W7GJ) will be trying a new feature of a Beta release of WSJT-X called Q65 pile up mode so if you want to be part of it please ensure you are not using an old version of the software.

The above web pages has a number of links to documents that explain the whole process he is going to use.

I expect you will hear any number of VK's active on EME during this time, for those who are participating, hope your not already sleep deprived, my bed will be in the caravan next the shack this time around.
Now what I should also add,
this is generally a good time to make EME contacts with a wide range of 6M operators as the sheer number of people who will be active, creates many chances for random contacts with some stations or countries of interest.

at these times of activity many big-gun stations will be active, making it possible for smaller stations to play EME on your local moonrise or moon set. Most QSO coordination can be done via the EME page on the ON4KST chat server you can find here: http://www.on4kst.org/chat/login.php?band=5

As the maxim says, you have to be in it to win it. Big Grin
