Question for the ic7300 experts

How do you personally adjust the  ALC on CW mode so the meter  shows zero or very little ALC.

I cannot find any mention in the manual on how to set the drive level  for ALC meter on CW mode

tnx

Found an answer below, no CW drive level adjust on ic 7300  de vk6ro oct 8 2021

Hi Gust,

In CW mode on the IC-7300, you need not be concerned about the ALC meter reading. Simply set the RF PWR control for the desired power output and the ALC will hold the drive at the correct level. There is no independent drive gain control on the IC-7300.

In SSB mode, set RF PWR to the desired output, then adjust MIC GAIN for  an ALC reading within the red zone on voice peaks.

The IC-7610 has a Drive Gain setting (in Quick Menu) which is adjusted in a continuous-carrier mode (e.g. RTTY) for an ALC reading in the red zone. The default setting for this control is 50%.
