Both ABC FM and JJJ send RDS here in Perth - current music/track etc, There is only SBS and some community stations that do not.

If NR is one of your primary concerns - what about a Anan rig with Thetis software. Very steep learning curve but very high quality audio and perhaps best NR of any radio.

Graham You can also use QRZ logbook. Manually enter a QSO and then export as anADIF. That is quite an easy and straightforward method. If you need help, I can talk you thru it.

A good point Bob! And I guess common practise on VHf/UHF is for many operators to keep the offset ~ 1500 hz to stay in the middle of narrow filters.
